Barclays Global Chairman's Awards 2010 The 14th Barclays Global Chairman’s awards recognizes individuals and teams across the globe for their outstanding work in their local communities. EPICS had been nominated for this award from 377 applications across 27 countries. EPICS members were invited to the finalist ceremony held in Madrid, Spain on 15 & 16 June 2010 hosted by Marcus Agius, Chairman Barclays Bank Plc.

This global award ceremony is organized by Barclays each year to recognize and celebrate colleagues' achievements in their local communities. The award is given to the employees and the NGO for working together in devising innovative strategies to bring a positive change in the lives of the marginalised.

There were 10 individual and team winners from different geographical regions with one overall winner.

Among the jury this year, were Marcus Agius - Chairman, Barclays, Lord Ashdown - President, UNICEF UK, Geoffrey Dennis - Chief Executive, CARE International UK and Alan Rusbridger - Editor, The Guardian, among other notable people.
